In this class, a CIO of a leading ship-building company from India shall be jointly presenting with a partner a case study of their custom implementation of Vault software as a business process automation platform to synchronize their design and business workflows to their Enterprise Business systems—Infor ERP. The class will explore how various departments of a ship-manufacturing organization works around the design data that flows between various users and integrates critical items and BOM with their ERP system and automates several business workflows customized on Vault interface. The presenter will explain how they could save close to 20% of their design-to-manufacturing cycle time by streamlining Vault product data management (PDM) software to remove redundant work on ERP while enabling a collaborative and automated business environment. This session will focus on automation of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes using data management systems and custom applications. The speaker will present the experience in optimizing and automating BIM workflow processes in infrastructure projects. He will share experience on smooth integration of Vault software in a current BIM workflow and existing systems. He will share the list of custom application and his experience of how Vault can have an important role in time-saving and quality improvement. The session will also include a discussion on how to incorporate all project parts in Vault, including customers and subcontractors.

This session is a high-level strategy road map of how companies with a large project portfolio can use Autodesk Construction Cloud to take pragmatic steps within the Autodesk Construction Cloud user interface to benefit both in the short term and long term. We'll use real-world examples using Amazon Transportation Engineering Services (TES) as a case study. Explore the MEP Plant Room Configurator, a transformative tool we developed that's reshaping the ways that our MEP engineers design. This web-based application provides a centralized platform for engineers to automatically design and configure their plant rooms without leaving their browser. The tool harnesses the power of the Autodesk Platform Services Design Automation API and its integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud to automate the modeling process, generating 3D layouts for Revit software or intelligent models from any computer. As a new player in the electric vehicle market, Rivian Automotive needs to move fast. In addition to building a new product line of electrics trucks, SUVs and delivery vans they need to build the facilities infrastructure to support. This includes an array of new office space TIs, service centers, factory additions, charging and new retail spaces. To accomplish this goal Rivian used the ACC platform to collaborate with all design and construction partners and internal stakeholders. By running all projects on one common data platform it provides our project teams with an invaluable data set as an owner and operator, creating new opportunities to optimize project delivery. Victoria Hand Project (VHP) is a charity that designs and deploys low-cost, 3D-printed prosthetic arms in developing countries. VHP provides medical professionals in low-income countries with the tools and training to create custom prosthetic arms. VHP has developed software solutions which use Autodesk Fusion 360 software to efficiently create these devices. Recently, VHP struggled to create prosthetic devices for upper-arm amputees (i.e., above elbow), due to the complex geometry of the 3D scans and the in-depth knowledge/workflow required to make the devices. Through the new Autodesk Fusion 360 Product Design Extension, VHP can now organically convert the complex mesh bodies of upper-arm scans into solid bodies for further 3D modeling. This has substantially improved the workflow of creating upper-arm prosthetic sockets, and allows for automation using APIs. This empowers VHP’s in-country partners to create custom upper-arm prosthetic devices quickly and easily, allowing for improved access to prosthetic care.
